The Big $2.20

I played in the Big $2.20 last night. I went in with the goal of making a deep run. That in itself is a bad goal just due to the extremely high variance in tournaments. I didn't last too long, around 1.5hrs I think and there were only 3 memorable hands. I'll post them and go over what I was thinking at the time.

Hand 1- Good read with a double-up:

This hand really should never have happened, but I was fairly card dead and KJo UTG was nice at the time. I do a standard open to 3x and get 2 callers.
The flop came A high with 2 clubs and a low straight draw, not the best flop for my hand which had no clubs. I check and it gets checked to the Turn. I should have C-Bet this being OOP and just tried to take it down on the Flop, which I probably would have. But had I done that, it would have been a small pot rather than a double up.
The turn pairs my J and I lead out for ~1/2 the pot which gets 1 fold and a call.
The river is a 5 which puts a 4 straight out there if my opponent has a 3. I check, he jams and I hate life. I end up going into the time bank going over the hand and when I think about it, he really doesn't have much that can beat me. If he had an A he would have bet the flop IP or probably would have raised my turn bet. Any combo with a 3 just doesn't make any sense unless he called with 33. So, his hand was looking very much like a busted flush draw or a KT, QT busted straight draw. I beat any combo of Jx he would have called PF with, so I made the call and he turns over QTo for the busted straight draw.
I think that the C-Bet on the Flop would have been the best play as I most likely would have taken it down and not have gotten into a rather stupid situation to begin with.

Hand 2- Flush Draw with a Pair:

Pretty standard spot I think. I open in the CO to 3x with A6dd to steal the blinds and the button puts in a small 3-bet. I could have folded this but I don't think calling is bad either since he could be 3-betting light thinking I'm raising light. Flop comes Q high with 2 diamonds. I check and he bets less than half the pot.
I call and pair my 6 on the Turn. I check, he jams and I hate life again. His shove is for about 2/3 the pot and I'm getting good odds to call. At the time I figured he either had an over pair, AK, AQ, KQ or air. Unless he has AA, AQ or QQ, I have 15 outs to an A, 6 or diamond. I call, he turns over KQ and I brick the river. Now I have 14bb's left.

I open to 3x UTG+1 with 66, MP raises to 6x (kind of a dumb raise), gets folded back to me and I jam. He calls with 77 (lol) flops a set and I'm done. Standard spot with 13bb's left I guess, probably should have just open shoved.

I would say my play was definitely sub-par. I was limping a lot and not being nearly aggressive enough. I'll try to focus a bit more next time lol.
