Good Run - Kinda

So another weekend has come. I didn't play all week after my cash fiasco last weekend. I booted up 3 tourneys today and cashed in 1. I was going to play the 2 $5.50 2R1A but decided to play the Big $55 instead since I was going to spend that much on the buy-ins and rebuys anyways. Needless to say it went horrible in the 2 tourneys. I just finished the $11 $10k GTD. I made it far, just shy of the FT unfortunately. I was actually card dead for most of the tourney and picked up double ups in crucial spots that led to my deep run. I don't think I have any overly interesting hands to post, they were mostly pretty straight forward. I'll go through my database tomorrow and see if there's anything post-worthy. But in the end I went soooooo card dead it was unreal. I had 2 whales at my table that were raising like crazy so it made stealing blinds and just playing in general very difficult, especially with a short stack for most of it. Here is the results e-mail though!

Fuck Cash

The title says it all. Every time I play cash I lose a ton of money to stupid situations. I always seem to, more often than not, find myself in a situation where I am stacking off with the second best hand than people are stacking off to me. And these aren't all spots where people can say "oh you're obviously beat there". I am so frustrated it's unreal. Here's a graph for the month so far:

Today was going good where I was up ~75$ on the day...that's the upswing there at the end of the graph. Then it all went to shit.

The villain in this hand was playing 31/21 over 91 hands. There was a spot a few hands ago where he raised and I 3-bet and he shoved my flop c-bet....I ended up folding even though I did make a pair so I wasn't sure what he had. I got stubborn this time and paid for it.

This is the hand where I should have turned it all off. This hand actually happened before the one above. Pretty standard cooler spot...but they BOTH out-flop me. Sign of inherent run-bad on the way.

This hand I should have gotten away from. I think I was on the tilted side. I turned it all off after this one.

Brutal 2 Hands

So today was the first time I played cash in a bit. Lets just say I'm not off to a great start. I only played for a bit over an hour because I ran god awful, lost 2 buy-ins consecutively at the same table and just didn't want it to get any worse.

Here are the 2 hands where this happened:

The villain in this hand was playing 24/18/3 over 124 hands and seemed to be half decent. His small flop bet through me for a loop so I popped it up a bit. The turn I bet a bit on the small side wanting him to come along. The river I can't get away as I hit 2 pair and my stack is only $2 more than his raise.
